Agreement
By installing, accessing, or using the SnoreCam iOS application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The App is provided by Veronata, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
The App, briefly
SnoreCam is a consumer iPhone app that uses your device's microphone, accelerometer, and rear camera to capture short video clips of your sleep when triggered by sound or motion, and generates plain-English captions for those clips using on-device AI. All captured content stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Not a medical device
SnoreCam is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. SnoreCam cannot detect, diagnose, or warn about sleep apnea, cardiac events, sleep disorders, mental health conditions, or any other medical or psychological state. If you have concerns about your sleep or health, consult a qualified healthcare provider.
Information shown in the App, including AI-generated captions and audio event detections, is for personal informational purposes only and should not be relied on for medical decision-making.
Subscription
SnoreCam offers auto-renewing subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store:
- Monthly — $9.99 USD per month after a 7-day free trial
- Yearly — $59.99 USD per year after a 7-day free trial (approximately $5/month equivalent)
Prices may vary by region per Apple's pricing tiers. The subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Refunds are governed by Apple's App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use SnoreCam to:
- Record any person without their explicit informed consent
- Capture, share, or store content involving minors without parental consent and a legitimate purpose
- Violate any applicable laws regarding privacy, recording, or surveillance in your jurisdiction
- Share clips containing other people's likenesses or audio without their consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except as permitted by law
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its outputs
You are solely responsible for any content you capture with SnoreCam and any subsequent sharing or distribution of that content. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction — some states and countries require all-party consent for audio recording. Know your local laws.
Sharing clips
SnoreCam's in-app Share function uses iOS's native share sheet to hand a copy of your clip to a third-party app of your choice (TikTok, Messages, Photos, etc.). Once you share a clip, it is out of SnoreCam's control and subject to the terms of the receiving app. SnoreCam is not responsible for what happens to clips after they leave the App.
Intellectual property
SnoreCam, the name, logo, and original content of the App are owned by Veronata, Inc. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use.
You retain full ownership of all video and audio content you capture with the App. You grant Veronata, Inc. no license to your captured content — because we never see it.
Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
AI-generated captions are produced by machine learning models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on them for any consequential decision.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERONATA, INC. AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR REPUTATION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your iPhone. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app on next launch. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
